  1. when he describes da vinci i think of like, frank ocean, grimes, tame impala, unknown mortal orchestra. i wonder what leonardo would be doing if he were alive today.

  2. Tired of hearing silly things like "Steve Jobs was a genius". No he wasn't, not even close. Crowds of people are so easily bamboozled into creating stories they can worship.

  3. Was listing to this radio program a couple of weeks ago they had a university librarian on talking about how they where now starting projects to archive digital correspondence of the prominent scientist working there because that's how these conversations take place now and it will all be lost if they don't do something about it and historians and biographers etc of the future wont have all this correspondence available like the collections of letters they are using now.

  4. Steve Jobs was a man who ripped of the real genius Steve Woz and then build a company on overcharging and using unethical supply chain practices and then conning people into buying stupid shit. Leonardo d Vince was basically renaissance rolled into one man

  5. Da Vinci's combination of talent, drive, an outcast history, flamboyance, fame, and being friends with goddamn everyone…

Sounds to me like the strongest comparison to Da Vinci in the modern day would've been Freddie Mercury.

  6. Above all, he was a very mysterious man, with his robots and palimpsets, but he also was a very keen chef, something not a lot of people know. He was a very modern man, hed love social media and the internet for sure, and particularly nude selfies.

  7. Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most under appreciated geniuses of his time. He was ridiculously intelligent and squarely fits in to the bracket of 'genius'. Its very possible that da Vinci is the most intelligent person to have ever lived but was simply held back by the times he lived in. Without a doubt, Leonardo should be the quintessential example of a genius, his thirst for knowledge is unparalleled.

  8. Is it weird, that I know, let's just say the very basics of Da Vinci, just from playing Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. Obviously I don't live under a rock and knew of him but AC did a pretty great job at lecturing while playing a video game.

  9. This was awesome! DaVinci is a really good subject for a modern biography and this author is so fascinated and enthusiastic 😀 So glad this was part of the show, because I can't wait to read this! Thank you ♥

  10. Leonardo Da Vinci was an inventor, painter, sculptor, architect, scientist, musician, mathematician, engineer, writer, geologist, botanist, astronomer, physician, cartographer, historian, palaentologist, ichnologist, and philosopher. Many of his designs and drawings for inventions were 400+ years ahead of his time. The guy knew his shit…
