  1. Hi Mark (& Jocelyn), love your videos. Thank you for all the great advice, love the fact that you're honest about having to go without things to enable your travels! You need to bring the family to Australia 🙂

  2. Cool, cool! I used to think either you inherited or hit the lottery and your plan was to reasonably spend it on perpetual traveling, make it last lifelong, which would be feasible and a completely honorable and modest way to consume a fortune. And do a few free videos from time to time for youtubers. But your answers in this video are an even better scenario:)

  3. Hey Mark, Getting ready to book an all inclusive vacay for oct5 in clearwater. What is the best way to do that? If I book through a website like travelocity or trivago, do those packages include food?

  4. I believe you're a marketing professor so you could probably make a good case for cheap being a colour. I'm just ribbing you, I work in marketing as well.

  5. University lecturer ???? What university? What subject? I taught for 7 years, before retirement… just curious. I can admire your spirit, in living a basic stripped down lifestyle to get out there and travel. I wish I had that much ambition a few decades ago… love the videos.

  6. We travel pretty much always to the advice of your vids. My wife and I use them all the time. We are the same way, we use our money for experience not luxuries. Now do a video on Osaka!!!

  7. that is exactly my thoughts re traveling, i stay w/friends and do my best to see the city w/locals
    instead of as a tourist-
but am looking for any vids you have done about Thailand (where i've lived for 7 1/2 years after traveling here
twice in the year prior); this is prompted by having just watched your vid about "don'ts of traveling in Russia",
and you mentioned double pricing, which is endemic in Thailand

  8. Hi, I love your videos so much! But Mark, where are you from exactly? I love your accent! 😀 I'm not a native English speaker but your English (or American :D) is what I can totally understand. And I don't think you speak too fast. 😀

  9. Hi Mark I have a question for you we are heading to Europe the beginning of May and was wondering what is the weather like during that time of year? We are taking a cruise and will be seeing many places. Is it more summer weather or still kinda cold. Thank you for your help. Plus thank you for sharing your videos and your family with all of us they are great

  10. Mark… Seen a posting of yours from St Petersburg (complete with the secret police in the background). Is independent travel realistic in Russia… thinking about St Petersburg for next year… it would seem as though there are issues with visas and just wondering what the downside will be having a russian visa in my passport – is this going to create further and deeper scrutiny every time we return to US

  11. Thanks for sharing. I am in Prague and your video helped us plan our trip. One thing I love about prague- the food. One thing I hate about Prague old town tourist trap.restaurants. when are you doing a Dubai video?

  12. Modest Guy! We're the same. We work hard, and go without unnecessary stuff, so we can get around. Our last Trip was Kiev, which is absolutely fantastic, with a day trip (not enough) to Chernobyl and Pripyat. We were fortunate to visit the zone and reactor on the first day of the New containment shelter. Great (but freezing) day. Love Your videos!
